Can you help end Staffies' long stay?

THREE Staffordshire Bull Terriers are looking for new homes after being left at the Blue Cross at Bickleigh for almost three months.

Bailey, Angie and Toby arrived at the centre as strays and staff have so far had no luck re-homing them.

Staffies have become associated with yob culture as young men use them as macho fashion accessories. This has given Staffies a bad reputation and as a result they have become harder to re-home.

But Rachel Sirdefield, from the Blue Cross, said the reputation was undeserved. She said: "Staffies are really personable. They're known as 'nanny dogs' because they are so good with children."

See page 25 for full details of the dogs.
