THE remarkable story of the code-breakers at Bletchley Park whose deciphering of encrypted German messages helped shorten the Second World War will be told at a meeting in Tiverton.

Tony Smale will give a talk to the National Trust Culm and Exe Valleys Centre about the secretive intelligence work carried out at the Buckinghamshire stately house between 1939 and 1945.

The talk takes place at St Andrew's Church Hall, in Blundell's Road, Tiverton, on February 9 (2.30pm).

The cost is £2 for members and £2.50 for visitors.
