THORVERTON hope that last weekend's Devon Premier Cup win against Georgeham & Croyde will inspire them to their first league points this Saturday at Budleigh Salterton.

Devon Senior Cup holders Bow AAC had to scramble through this season's first round 6-5 on penalties after being held 3-3 by Lympstone.
Tiverton Town raced into the next round with a 6-1 win at Okehampton. Tom Tricker (2), Kieran Rapo, Joe Packer-Byrne, Lee Woodman and Jake Searle were on target.
Culm United needed extra time to beat Exmouth Amateurs 5-4. Tyler Grigg and Luke Jones both scored twice and Paul Orchard was also on target.
Bampton won 6-3 against Paignton Saints also after extra time, and Crediton United needed another half hour to get past South Zeal 3-1.

Dolphin won the only game played in Division Three 1-0 against the University with Robert Privett on target.
Lord's XI celebrated their first win in Division Four as they turned over Newtown 4-2. Gaz Wills notched a hat-trick and Jed Tapp also scored.
The University began their campaign with a 6-2 win at Woodbury, whose Richard Hill and Alex Hughes scored.
In Division Five, Dave Day (2) and Aaron Streat scored Topsham's goals as they beat St Martins 3-0 and Culm won by the same margin at Sampford Peverell, with John Alford, Steve Alford and Steve Roach on the mark.
Topsham and Silverton drew 4-4 in their Division Six clash. Mark Greenwood, Nat Davey, Richard Sobey and Mike Rowley bagged the Silverton goals.

The Met Office stole the limelight in the Devon Intermediate Cup with their 4-1 victory at Lapford having been a goal down. Stuart Bell, Hayden Figures (2) and Wayne Moxey scored the Weathermen's goals.

Richard Gilbert was another hat-trick man as Countess Wear won 4-2 against Beer Albion. Matt Trestrail was also on target.
Open Space International are finally enjoying the delights of scoring but they bowed out of the cup 4-2 against Bickleigh, whose George White, Shane Mears, Reece Burnett and Nicky White netted.
Exwick Village beat Woodbury 3-2, with Mike Rayson and Dave Allen scoring for the Wooders.
