AN article which appeared in last week's Gazette regarding the Bandstand Marathon in Westexe Recreation Ground this weekend was illustrated with a photograph of Tiverton Town Band.

However, the town band will not be performing at this event on Sunday, September 9, as they have another engagement in Newton Abbot on the same afternoon.

Those who do make it along to the Westexe event will be able to enjoy a wide variety of music, including gospel and jazz from Joy Parke and Friends, acoustic sounds from Cassie O'Peyah, the Purple Ukulele All-stars and bands Jonny Found a Raygun and The Summertides.

It's not just about music with plenty of other performances to be enjoyed by all the family including demonstrations by Tiverton TAGB Tae-kwon-do club, the Kalash Tribal bellydancers, Diamond Twirlers majorettes and the CDC Dance Crew.

The event has been organised by the Exe Valley Rotary Club.
