HEATHCOAT Club's latest Superleague match against King's Arms Crediton got off to a tight start, and after the first four matches the game was tied at 2-2.

Solid performances from both Lee Hanley and Steve Vellacott meant both recorded 3-0 wins. Richard Darbyshire lost on his debut while Shaun Davey went down 3-2, having fought back from 2-0 down to level the match.

However the Tiverton side got back on track when the in-form Mark Vellacott stormed to a 3-0 win.

The Crediton team levelled the overall scores at 3-3 when John Body came unstuck to lose his match 3-2, despite recording a 180.

Heathcoat went back in front thanks to Steve Pike's 3-1 win, before further victories for Steve Dowell and Barry Thacker gave the hosts a 6-3 win.
