A FESTIVAL of trees will be held at St Mary's church, Hemyock, next weekend.

It is the second such event to be held at the church and many organisations, from schools to shops, will be decorating their own trees to reflect their contribution to parish life.

A concert will be held at the church by the St David's Singers at 7.30pm on Saturday, December 15, when mulled wine and mince pies will be served, and a celebration service of Holy Communion will be held on Sunday at 11.15am.

Organised by the Friends of St Mary's, the festival will be open from 10.30am to 7pm on Friday, December 14, 10.30am to 5pm on Saturday and 12.30pm to 5pm on the final day.

Refreshments, including light lunches, will be available at the Church Room throughout the three days.
