BUSINESSES are hoping for a boost after an announcement that Crediton will receive high speed broadband within the next few months.
The project, by connecting Devon and Somerset, a partnership including Devon County Council and BT, will cost £94m and link 44,000 homes and businesses to the fibre optic service by March. Shobrooke, Newton St Cyres and Sandford are among those to benefit from the scheme.
Demitri Coryton, co-chair of the Crediton Chamber of Commerce, said: "We are absolutely delighted. It is something we have been pressing for ages."
